Why Seniors with Dementia Need Wearable Devices with GPS Positioning?
Some 70 per cent of people with dementia are at risk of going missing at least once, according to data gathered by the University of East Anglia. Community-dwellers and their families paid, on average, 64% of the total cost, compared to 43% of the costs if the person with dementia lived in a nursing home. Meanwhile, people without dementia incurred a lower cost of care overall, particularly when they lived in the community rather than in a nursing home.

Wandering off is one of the symptoms of dementia. If seniors with dementia are off for too long, they may become hurt. In addition, many seniors with dementia will get lost repeatedly. That is why GPS tracking watches help seniors with dementia remain safe when they forget where they are.
